FideSonus is a company specialized in the recording of acoustic, especially classical music with the specific aim of doing so in a manner that gives the listener of the final product in the home environment the realistic acoustic experience of hearing the music and instruments as they would have, had they been in the same venue as the recording took place. Indeed the name FideSonus means “faithful sound”.

Doing so requires specialized skills and abilities. I have perhaps an unfair advantage compared to the average sound engineer as I am a full-time member of a professional chamber orchestra, the Tapiola Sinfonietta. As a professional musician, I am working with and listening to the actual sounds of orchestral instruments on a daily basis so this in effect keeps my ears in touch with reality. I am not as susceptible to having my “aural vision” of how orchestral instruments actually sound skewed by having to listen mainly through speakers or headphones.

In addition to recording, we are able to provide a complete path to the final CD. This is including the recording, editing, masteringof as well as the graphical layout and texts .
